BASIC MINERALS by SPONSER® contains a balanced combination of basic mineral salts to support and regulate the acid-base balance. In contrast to most other competitor products, it contains neither sugar nor sweeteners, which are often used to improve taste.

A balanced and varied diet is important for a normal acid-base balance. This balance can be disturbed by an unfavourable diet. High acid loads come from high sugar or carbohydrate consumption from sweets, pastries, pasta, rice and other cereal products. Alcohol, meat, coffee consumption and intensive sporting activities also produce additional acid in the body. In order to be able to neutralize these acids, the body needs sufficient reserves of bases. It is therefore advisable to consume sufficient amounts of alkaline foods such as vegetables, salad or fruit in everyday life.

BASIC MINERALS from SPONSER® supports the regulation of the acid-base balance, especially during intensive training phases. Many athletes also use the alkaline mineral blend if having a history of recurrent cramps and in preparation for competitions lasting several days.

The basic mineral salt mixture contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance, iron supports oxygen transport and zinc supports acid-base metabolism.
